Mark Hunt returns to the UFC octagon this weekend, taking on Oleksiy Oliynyk in a heavyweight main event at UFC Fight Night 136. So naturally, he’s been doing a bit of extra media promotion this week. And he’s not at all happy about the potential of Brock Lesnar returning to the UFC.
Lesnar, who last fought in the UFC in July 2016 by beating Hunt (which was later overturned into a no decision), teased a comeback when he confronted Daniel Cormier in the cage at UFC 226. Cormier had just won the Heavyweight championship from Stipe Miocic, and he called Lesnar out. Lesnar is a former heavyweight champion himself, beating Randy Couture for the belt back in 2008.
Hunt is still steaming from his fight with Lesanr at UFC 200, doesn’t understand why the UFC would let a proven drug cheat walk into a championship match, and sounded off in vulgar fashion while appearing on Submission Radio.
“How’s that work? The motherf—rs a cheater,” Hunt said. “How is that controversy? F—n little c-nt is f—n cheating, using steroids. F—k, man, how is that – (you’re) talking ‘a little bit of controversy?’ The f—ng guy is cheating.”
“He’s cheating and trying to hurt me and you say, ‘oh, we’re going to be nice here’. F—k that cheater. How are you gonna be nice to the guy that is taking shortcuts, man? Don’t give him that. Why would you want to give him that sort of sh-t? F—k, they don’t deserve it. You know, all these guys are just shortcut takers, and to me that’s all they’ll ever be. Nothing else.”
Here’s the entire clip:
Lesnar beat Hunt via decision at UFC 200, but failed a post-fight drug test. He later left the USADA drug testing pool, and is currently serving the remaining months of a one-year suspension so that he can be eligible to return to the UFC in January.
