Jon Jones will finally get to finish off his feud with Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 on Saturday night, after missing the last year of his career due to a PED suspension. And while fans have been waiting years for this fight, Jones is already thinking about his future.

During a recent Facebook Live Q & A video (which was subsequently posted to YouTube), Jones addressed the rumors that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar might be eyeing up a return to the octagon. In fact, he offered to personally welcome the Beast Incarnate back into the MMA world.

“I would love to fight Brock Lesnar. He’s a massive dude and it would be a massive draw. Really big for the sport. It’d be a great challenge that’s a big ol’ boy. I doubt Brock Lesnar would take that fight though.”

Jones has often said that he plans to eventually eliminate his weight cut and fight at heavyweight, but taking on Brock Lesnar is a different animal. Lesnar has to actually cut weight in order to make the 265-pound maximum for the heavyweight division.

Naturally, we needed a response from Lesnar on the potential superfight. The Associated Press managed to ask the current WWE Universal Champion about Jones’ comments, and he responded in typical Lesnar fashion:

“Would I fight Jon Jones? Anytime, anywhere. Right now he should be worried about D.C. on Saturday night.”

Call us crazy, but we’d pay a ton of good money to watch Jon Jones vs. Brock Lesnar in an MMA contest. It would be the best pound-for-pound fighter of a generation versus a man with incredible size and raw power. Jones is technically better in almost every aspect, but Lesnar is a freak (and a legit NCAA wrestling champ).
