That Connor McDavid just keeps adding to his already growing legend.

McDavid, who registered three points last night to push him over the 100-point plateau in just 92 games, broke in alone on Florida netminder James Reimer with mere seconds left on the clock in overtime in a 3-3 game Wednesday night.

In typical McDavid fashion, he juked, he jived and juked again, finally going to the backhand on Reimer. He raised his arms in celebration, even though Reimer appeared to make the save with just 2.6 seconds left on the clock. However, upon further review, Reimer’s glove hand was actually behind the red line when he gloved the disc and the goal counted for a 4-3 Oilers win.

McDavid recorded his 100th career point earlier in the game with an assist, becoming the fourth fastest active skater to hit that mark. With his three-point night, McDavid leads the NHL in scoring with 51 points, one past Sidney Crosby, who has played eight fewer games.
