Everyone knows that the Attitude Era was the golden age of professional wrestling, as offensive, dangerous, and unsustainable as it all was.

Charlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard definitely remembers it fondly, though.

During a 112-94 loss to the Timberwolves, Howard was spotted throwing the classic D-Generation X crotch chop in the direction of a heckling fan. For those unfamiliar with classic late-90s/early 00s wrestling, the gesture can approximately be translated into the faction’s catch phrase: “Suck it.”

Here’s a clip of the incident. The D-X theme music has already been added, because the internet is a wonderful place.

The NBA announced they were fining Howard $25,000, although that surely won’t bother the man who inked a three-year, $70.5 million contract in 2016. Howard is having a solid start to the season, especially considering he has a reputation for wearing out his welcome with many of previous teams. He averaging 14.6 points, 13.8 rebounds, an 1.3 blocks per game in his first season with the Hornets.

However, he should probably lay off the crotch chops for a bit.
