Gregg Popovich Blasts “Pathetic Performance” From Spurs, Even Though They Won

Gregg Popovich is a no-nonsense kind of guy. He speaks candidly about issues, including the recent 2016 Presidential Election, and routinely calls out reporters for asking dumb questions.

While Popovich has a history of trashing his own team when necessary, he pulled out a new trick on Monday night. The Spurs beat the Mavericks, who were without┬áDirk Nowitzki and Andrew Bogut, but Coach Pop wasn’t impressed by the victory. After the game he blasted his players, calling the performance “pathetic” and claiming his team “lacked respect” for the short-handed Dallas lineup.

Watch all the way to the end for a brilliant Popovich closing quip.

The win moves the Spurs to 11-3, putting them third in the Western Conference behind the Clippers (13-2) and the Warriors (12-2)
